📌 Overview
The Food Security Programme at UKZN ensures that no student is forced to learn on an empty stomach. Many students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, face daily struggles to access basic meals. This initiative provides nutritional support to students in need, enabling them to focus on their studies and thrive.
🎯 Project Goal
Our goal is to raise sustainable funding to support food relief across all five campuses. In the short term, we aim to provide monthly food packs and meal vouchers to students. Long-term, we seek to establish campus-based food gardens and student-led food cooperatives to promote self-sufficiency and awareness.
💡 Why Your Support Matters
A hungry student cannot succeed. Your support helps restore dignity, energy, and hope to young people working hard for a better future. One meal can be the difference between attending a class and missing an exam. Every contribution counts toward building a more equitable and supportive learning environment.
