Dear UKZN Students

The University has engaged in a fund-raising program to provide bursary assistance to students who are financially needy and unfunded to enable them to register for 2024. The number of awards will be dependent on the amount of funds raised.

 Students who meet the following criteria may apply for this assistance:

1. From families with an income below R350 000,00 per annum.

2. Degree aggregate of 55% and above.

3. Do not have any funding for 2025.

4. If funded for the year 2025, student must have historical debt in a year or years they were self-funded.

5. Please note that if you happen to recieve the SRC Trust fund bursary but later on you recieve other full funding. UKZN reserves the right to reverse the SRC Trust fund bursary.

Students who wish to apply for this funding must complete the attached application and provide all supporting documents.  Applications with missing supporting documents will be declined. Applications and supporting documents must be sent to the Financial Aid Advisor for your College/Campus as indicated in the application form.
