Disability Support

📌 Overview

UKZN’s Disability Support Programme is dedicated to empowering students with disabilities by ensuring they have equal access to education, resources, and support. Through specialised services and assistive technologies, the programme enables students to thrive academically and participate fully in University life.

🎯 Project Goal

The programme aims to create an inclusive and accessible learning environment by funding vital resources such as assistive devices, mobility aids, adapted transport, and academic support tools. The long-term goal is to eliminate barriers to higher education and promote independence, dignity, and success for all students with disabilities.

💡 Why Your Support Matters

For a student living with a disability, something as simple as getting to class or accessing a textbook can be a daily struggle. Your donation makes it possible for them to learn, grow, and graduate with confidence. With your help, UKZN can ensure that no student is left behind because of a disability.

🎁 How You Can Help

There are many meaningful ways to support the Disability Support Programme:

  • Fund or co-sponsor assistive technology or transport solutions
  • Support the purchase of accessible academic resources
  • Make a once-off or monthly donation to the programme
  • Leave a legacy through a bequest to improve disability access at UKZN

All contributions are eligible for a Section 18A tax certificate, and your impact will be shared with you through student testimonials and progress updates.
